Dr. Susan Anson

Susan Anson is currently coordinating EUMINAfab a European Research Infrastructure for multimaterial micro and nano-fabrication and characterisation. She studied Chemistry and was awarded  PhD in analytical chemistry from the University of East Anglia Norwich UK. She moved with her family from the UK to Karlsruhe, Germany in 1999, and since 2002 has worked at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Karlsruhe, with the Programme Nano and Micro systems. In this time she has been involved with several European and national projects.

Facilitating access for to high end MNT -  European Research Infrastructure on Micro Nano Manufacturing -EUMINAfab

The presentation will provide an a overview on the European research infrastructure for multimaterial micro and nano fabrication and characterization: EUMINAfab funded under the FP7 Capacities programme,  This project integrates the technological capabilities of 10 European leading technology providers and opens the gateway to this unique portfolio of expertise to European users from both research and industry.

Besides the introduction to the services offered by EUMINAfab we will also set links  to the MINAM and the ManuFuture communities which will provide an expanded “MicroNano backbone service”  to industry and R&D. The following discussion will give participants the opportunity to contribute to establishing the structure of these services with the aim of better facilitating the ongoing innovation processes of the European  manufacturing community.
