Dr. Peter Nagler

Dr. Peter Nagler studied chemistry at Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University in Frankfurt and Chemistry / Biochemistry at University of Nice. In 1985 he was awarded Ph. D. in Organic Chemistry from University of Frankfurt. Subsequently, he moved to Degussa as a Research Chemist, and in 1988 he became an Assistant to the Board (Head of Research Department). In 1991 he became the Product Manager New Products and in 1993 the Corporate Development Manager and Product Manager Pharma Intermediates in Rexim.

Peter Nagler's career proceeded in Rexim in 1994 as a Marketing Director, becoming the Managing Director 1996. He became the Vice President and General, Fine Chemicals Business Line in 1997. In the new millenium, he moved to the position of President Business Unit Fine Chemicals in 2000, followed by President Business Unit Exclusive Synthesis & Catalysts in 2003 and President Region South America, Sao Paulo, Brazil in 2005. He became the Head of Research, Development, Applied Technology, New Business Development, Business Unit Aerosil & Silanes in Hanau-Wolfgang in 2007 and Head of Innovation Management, Business Unit Inorganic Materials, Hanau-Wolfgang in 2008. In 2009 Peter moved to the position of Head of Innovation Management Chemicals & Creavis.

Since July 2011 Peter Nagler is the Chief Innovation Officer of Corporate Innovation Strategy & Management of Evonik Industries AG.
