EuMaT and the degrees of convergence for an Innovation Union

Materials science and technology are among the most effective catalysts for many innovations to reach the market and hence, sustain socio-economic development. Collaborative structures such as EuMaT have proven to be valid instruments into building co-operation and coordination between researchers, development and innovation EU policy makers, exchanging measurable benefits with industry, the education system and society at large. In this presentation we review EuMaT’s deployment strategy, namely the research agenda proposed recently by its seven active working groups, its role translating knowledge into business and the planning of future activities timing and scope, within EU’s forthcoming priorities.
